One Thing

May 29, 2025

Most days, I get a lot done. I handle what needs my attention, respond to what’s urgent, and stay productive. But when the day ends, I sometimes feel like I didn’t choose anything—I just kept up. I maintained. I managed.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about the value of doing one intentional thing each day. Not just reacting to life, but choosing one specific action I set out to complete. It doesn’t need to be big. It could be as small as sending one cold email, reading four pages of a book, or finishing a glass of water in one sitting.

But the point is: I chose it. I did it. And I built a little momentum doing something on purpose.

“A day spent catching up is a day spent standing still—do one thing that moves you forward on purpose.”
