The Fuel That Drives Me

Jun 8, 2025

This morning, I woke up with a lot on my plate. Meetings, deadlines, edits, client calls, production schedules—the usual weight of responsibility that comes with running a business. I started to feel the early signs of stress creep in, like they sometimes do. But then, as I stood in the kitchen gathering my things, my five-year-old wrapped her arms around me and gave me a kiss on the cheek. Right after that, Sarah handed me a packed lunch, smiled, and told me I was handsome.

And just like that, everything shifted.

It’s in those small, beautiful, fleeting moments that everything makes sense. The long hours, the pressure, the constant balancing act—none of it feels heavy when I remember why I do it. I get to provide for my family. I get to fuel this life we’ve built together. I get to fill up the gas tank without anxiety. I get to pay the power bill, buy school clothes, and take my daughters to get ice cream on a random Tuesday. I don’t have to do any of that. I get to.

Every time I step into a client meeting, plan a shoot, or build something from scratch with my team, it’s all infused with that gratitude. That joy. That purpose. Because when I’m doing good work, I’m not just building a brand or executing a deliverable—I’m pouring into something bigger than myself. That feeling spills over into every project. And when I show up with that kind of energy, my clients feel it. My team feels it. They know they’re safe to create, to contribute, to believe in what we’re doing.

It creates this unspoken momentum. A beautiful cycle. I lead with purpose and gratitude, and in return, my team moves with trust and passion. Our clients receive something deeper than just content—they get the best of us, rooted in intention and driven by love.

So yeah, work can be stressful. It can be overwhelming. But when you zoom out and look at the bigger picture—when you remember the hugs, the kisses, the notes in your lunchbox, the “I’m proud of you” moments—it stops being work.

It starts being a blessing.

And I carry that blessing with me into every room I enter
